The diamond is created from the carbon which is present in the cremation ashes or hair. That carbon, along with a trace element, is subjected to intense pressure and heat (as natural diamonds are below the surface of the earth) to create the final stone. Each diamond is inspected by a gemologist, and comes with a signed certificate of authentication.
