The Glazed Buddha Ceramic Cremation Urn is hand crafted from stoneware one at a time. The urn features high relief carvings and is finished in rich glazed with formulated Tenmoku and Celadon glazes. Each urn is an original design and is signed by the artist. As with all handmade vessels, no two urns will be identical, creating a truly unique resting place for your loved one. After throwing, sculpting and carving the urn has to dry. The urn is put into the kiln and fired to 2100 degrees, a 14 hour firing. After the firing each urn is glazed and fire again to 2400 degrees, another 14 hour firing in a controlled atmosphere that causes the special colors and effect of the glazes. 2400 degrees is the highest temperature in the spectrum of stoneware. Making the stoneware vitreous and strong.
Top opening lid, could be sealed with adhesive.
