Selecting and creating a final remembrance of a loved one can be a trying task, but many find the slant headstones to be an excellent choice to consider. Slant gravestones have been a very popular design for many years, and this stands to reason. They offer a similar display of information as the traditional upright grave markers, yet feature a more stocky shape, which helps with their structural integrity. These beautiful gravestones are created by quarrying a whole block of granite, and then through a process of cutting and shaping, creating the initial or basic shape of the memorial. Once the stone is brought to the desired shape and size, each face is finished by either rock-pitching the edges, or particularly for the front, sanding and buffing. For those that desire the natural appearance of the rock-pitched sides, it is interesting to note that a granite worker actually goes around the entire stone with a small chisel and hammer, and creates the rough yet appropriately leveled texture by hand. This just goes to show the amount of passion and attention to detail that is poured into each and every memorial. Once the sides or finished and the face is polished, the memorial is ready for the personalization.
These beautiful slant memorials can be personalized in a variety of methods to suit any taste or need. They offer the same versatility in design as the flush, granite only memorials, yet feature a more prominent display of information due to the shape of the stone. There are a number of design options that range from a simple lined border, to an elegantly floral border or even designs that feature beautiful religious accents. For those who are having trouble finding an appropriate design, or would just like to further accent the stone, the addition of an emblem could help. These small clip-art type images can be added to virtually any design, so long as the space accommodates. Some families have even selected a plain design, and created a completely different appearance with the addition of the emblems. There are also slant markers that feature a special design and shape, which can be accommodated with the desired personal information.
All of the markers feature a number of granite colors, as well as text styles, to select from, to ensure the final remembrance is not only beautiful, but fitting to the individual it memorializes.

- Free shipping to all 48 Continental United states (we can ship to Alaska and Hawaii, even internationally but the does cost extra, call our customer service office for a quote).
What is not Included in the price listed?
- Premium Granite colors, prices only reflect standard color options only. Please call for premium color prices.
- Vases are not included; if you would like to add a vase please contact our customer service team for a quote.
- If additional lettering is more than 15 letters it will charge per additional letter. If selected prices in the cart will reflect the total.
- Additional Emblem. Please call for a quote.

- Any non-English letter. Please call for a quote.
- Delux Carving, or non standard fonts.
- Installation. If the Cemetery is installing the Memorial, please make payment to the cemetery. If a monument company is installing the Memorial, please make payment to them directly. Memorials.com does not do any installation.
